Consumer Statement:
Joined Americor in May of 2019 and was told that I would be paying $1000 a month to clear up roughly 60k in debt. No fees were explained, in fact, the website States low percentages and no hidden fees. After 9 months, two accounts that totaled 6k were paid. The 3k left over went to fees. I canceled with 2k still in my savings account but that money magically disappeared into more fees.
Consumer Action Taken:
Called and spoke with both RAM and Americor and was told that the fee schedule was in the contract I signed. They don’t have to tell you what the fees are, it’s your responsibility to read them.

I joined in Americor’s debt relief program 13 months ago with the assurance I would be getting a conditional loan after 12 months to regain my credibility!! I followed the stipulations to a tee/ when it came time for the loan I was told I was disqualified for the loan because of a loan I had made at the Timberline Credit Union/ this loan was already considered when I started the consolidation process!!! The loan they disqualified was not new money, but a loan made two years ago that I just pay the interest each year and extend it!!!! This is so unfair because I did everything I was to told to do and not to do. This is an ongoing loan/ not a new one and Russ Shapley had it on the books when I applied/ I was lied to and done so very wrong . I stopped paying my credit card bills like I was told to and now have ruined my credit because of Americor and it will be years before I can dig myself out if this hole/ I’ll probably have to go bankrupt at the age of 77
