Consumer Complaint: I am trying to improve my credit. There is a duplicate collection account that I have been trying to get removed from my credit reported. The collection agency keeps telling me they are reporting it as closed, but it keeps showing on my credit report as an open collection, but it should be closed and showing as paid or settled. I have contact XXXX – they say I will know something in 30 days. I have contacted XXXX they also said 30-45 days b efore investigation complete. But, XXXX sent me an email stating that this information is correct and the collection will remain open, this is not correct I have paid this and it should be showing as paid/settled on my credit report. Can you please help me get this resolved, I am trying to purchase a home and this is keeping m y credit score down. Thanks
