On XX/XX/XXXX , the same customer purchased an additional item. A single payment was made on XX/XX/XXXX In XX/XX/XXXX my XXXX cou sin began receiving past due notices and phone calls from XXXX . She tried to explain that she has a similar ( but not identical ) name, a completely different address, does n’t know the person who made the charges, and that she is n’t responsible for the debt. The debt has since been sold to Portfolio Recovery Associates. We have made repeated attempts to find out how this account was opened. We have sent documents showing my cousin has lived at the same address si nce XX/XX/XXXX and i t is not on XXXX XXXX XXXX . Portfolio Recovery Associates h as refused to supply any proof that this debt is my cousin ‘s and continues to call and send her notices. My cousin has XXXX and XXXX XXXX , and is XXXX XXXX by their refusal to prove anything regarding this debt.
