Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I told XXXX at Gentry Finance to stop calling me and to only communicate with me through mail and she told me that wont happen she will still call me. I have the recorded phone call. Every day s he ( XXXX ) and XXXX still continue to call me after written and verbal to stop calling me. I have asked for a statement showing me where my money is going because I do not get a receipt so I have no proof they are applying it to my bill. They refuse to provide it to me and told me they do not have to. ( I also have proof of this on a voicemail. They have repeatedly left voice mails for me to refinance my loan and goes into detail about it on my voicemail. I should not be past due but they are saying that I am and that is why they will call me. They keep calling my family, friends and other family members that I do not even talk to much and was not listed as a reference or a contact on my loan agreement. They know my address and my phone number since I have talked to them on it and they have left voicemails so they should not be contacting my references. They told me they are going to take me to court unless I pay them the amount they are requesting. I am not going to pay this amount, I want a statement as of the validity of this debt amount. I want them to stop calling me as I have asked and my family members, there is no reason to continue with the humiliation from them being constantly called. Now they have a company calling me telling me they are taking legal action against me that I need to pay the debt. The voicemail says that I need to contact them before they take any legal acti on against me ( on my voicemail ) from XXXX . When I try to contact this number back, my phone company will not let the call go through because it says that it is not a working number. There is no reason they need to call me every day. They leave me voicemails daily and my account is not even past due. They call me daily and it is always the same two people, XXXX or XXXX . I have told them both that I do not want them to call me and I only want communication through mail and XXXX told me they will continue to call me. I do have the proof because all calls to them are recorded. I have read up on the laws and I have the right to request a statement of validity of the amount and I also have the right to request they do not call me, and I am choosing to invoke that right but they will not follow it. I am not trying to dispute the debt just the amount. I want to know that every penny that I am paying is going on the debt and not in some ones pockets since I only pay with money orders. I have had a XXXX XXXX and they still continue to call me and they have my nerves shot. I am a nervous wreck. They have disclosed information to my family which is making me really struggle going around my family due to embarrassment. I have a hard time sleeping because of the way they harass me then talk to me when I do talk to them. I really need some one h elp to make them stop. This is not fair, I am not behind! I can provide this proof in the voicemails and in the calls. I can pull the records and the recordings.
