Residential Mortgage Modification Group Runs Into Connecticut

The State of Connecticut is reporting they are having a beef with Residential Mortgage Modification Group regarding surrounding “Debt Adjusters and Debt Negotiation” issues.

Apparently, Residential Mortgage Modification Group came to the attention of the Department of Banking and repeated letters sent to the company have been returned.

The State has ordered:

1. RMMG, LLC a/k/a Residential Mortgage Modification Group, LLC CEASE AND DESIST from violating Section 36a-671(b) of the Connecticut General Statutes;

2. A CIVIL PENALTY of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) be imposed upon RMMG, LLC a/k/a Residential Mortgage Modification Group, LLC, to be remitted to the Department of Banking by cashier’s check, certified check or money order, made payable to “Treasurer, State of Connecticut”, no later than thirty (30) days from the date this Order is mailed;

3. The ORDER TO MAKE RESTITUTION issued on January 16, 2018, remains in effect and became permanent against RMMG, LLC a/k/a Residential Mortgage Modification Group, LLC on February 8, 2018. – Source
