Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from PennCredit Corperation, Penn Credit XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX PA XXXX, stating that I owe {$2300.00} for 2015 Taxes in the State of MD. I have called to discuss and was yelled at by the companies representative while also being told I should not contact the IRS because they won’t have the information about the debt due. I have never lived in MD not have I even visited. I assumed it was identity fraud, however the only fraud I see from research into my own social security number is that of this company associating an arbitrary debt owed by myself. As this company has a physical address and employees responding to XXXX reviews, I would appreciate it if your team can investigate the company ‘s legitimacy. As the company is impersonating a federal contractor, I would imagine that they have been issueing statements similar to mine nationwide and it’s quite discussing. This amount of money could ruin somebody’s life and cause an extraordinary amount of stress on a family struggling to survive financially. It may be overboard to say, but fraud such as this should be considered an act of public terrorism.

Thank you, Looking forward to hearing back.
