Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/18 – I received a notification from XXXX regarding a new entry on my credit report asking me to verify. I had no prior notice of this, so I contacted Waypoint Resource Group, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, TX., XXXX, which is the company who reported this debt. I spoke to ” XXXX ” regarding an entry on my XXXX credit report dated XX/XX/18 in the amount of {$49.00}. I asked who the original creditor was, as it was not included on the report, nor have I received any billing statement to identify the creditor. She told me it was XXXX XXXX XXXX. I asked about a payment arrangement, or a settlement amount, but she said no such arrangements could be made. I also told her that her company is reporting to the credit bureaus weekly, as ” new collections ”, which I believe is not allowed. She became rude, and told me that the entire debt must be paid immediately. Since I live on a low fixed income, I could have handled it better with some kind of arrangement. After this call, which did not go well, I contacted the original creditor, then found that there were actually 2 different accounts which I owed, both now being handled by Waypoint. I paid the older of the 2 in the amount of {$55.00} on XX/XX/18, and arranged to pay the {$49.00} bill next month.
