Consumer Complaint: I submitted a payment to Lowes/XXXX XXXX, for the payment of {$800.00} dollars, which posted XX/XX/2018. I didn’t get notification the check didn’t clear the bank as insufficient funds from my credit card company, XXXX XXXX. I was lead to believe the check was cleared for {$800.00} dollars. I spoke to the agent over the phone several time to confirm that everything was fine. The agent submitted the {$800.00} dollar payment to credit bureaus as an OFF CYCLE credit reporting to the credit reporting agencies for payment. This was done three weeks ago. Today isXX/XX/XXXXXX/XX/18, and I’ve received a 30 day late from Lowes/XXXX XXXX for non payment because Lowes/ XXXX XXXX didn’t informed me the payment had been returned. I got a credit alert XX/XX/18 stating that I just received a 30 day late payment from XXXX XXXX. I called them and was told my payment was returned XX/XX/18, which was three weeks from the date I submitted payment. I then spoke to my bank, and was told the check was returned XX/XX/18 for insufficient funds. They took three weeks away from the time I had to to repay that check, and then called it 30 day late and reported it to the credit agencies. They didn’t allow me a chance for repayment. I’ve had this account over two years and have never once been late. Not even one time!!!
