Consumer Complaint: I have sent them certified mail to cease & desist calling my cell phone any longer. I ask them to demonstrate the entire chain of title of the said stated acct. with XXXX XXXX aka XXXX XXXX. I ask them to provide & produce all account statements that prove the acct balance in question to be correct or provide the actual amount they paid for the XXXX XXXX acct. from XXXX XXXX. I was not notify by Portfolio Recovery Associates that they bought this account. Instead XXXX XXXX notify me by a letter sent snail mail dated as of XX/XX/XXXX. I now dispute the debt & sell. I could have used a debt management company to resolve the matter with XXXX XXXX. They used under handed means to get me to default on the account in the first place by lowering my XXXX XXXX line of Credit from {$2000.00} to {$1400.00} without any written notice. I got the necessary documents to prove it. I’m under some economic hardship due to a part time job and a divorce earlier in the year.
