Consumer Complaint: I am XXXX XXXX XXXX, currently residing in XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, NJ-XXXX. I had signed up for a Gym membership with : XXXX XXXX XXXX located atXXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX ; which advertised for {$580.00} for 6 months, sometime in summer XXXX. When I signed up their contract and came back home and checked the contract, I found they misrepresented and they wanted to charge me an exorbitant amount of {$580.00} for a month! I rushed in the next day in the same physical location and wanted to cancel my account. They did not cancel my account. I asked them how come you put me in a contract but can’t cancel my contract. They said there is no way to cancel the contract! They gave me an address and told me it is up to the discretion of the Account manager to cancel my contract or not! I sent a certified mail at that address ( I neither have that address or the proof of that certified mail now, it’s been so long ) but did not get any response. They did not even have a phone number where I could call to cancel. They basically posted a fake number, which automatically went to voicemail. They already charged me {$580.00} for the first month on my XXXX XXXX XXXX Credit Card. I called XXXX XXXX to dispute this charge and they also couldn’t deal with XXXX XXXX XXXX. They blocked the charge. Every month XXXX XXXX XXXX tried to charge my XXXX card unsuccessfully. Soon after, I had lost my job and was going through tumultuous times and had to move to XXXX for my next job and before that had to go to my home country XXXX to get my visa stamped. I kept on calling the number, but no one would pick up. In XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX put ~ {$3500.00} on collection. After I tried to resolve it with Omega RMS, the debt-collection agency ; they couldn’t get it resolved with XXXX XXXX XXXX. Then I had filed a consumer complaint and the account went away from my credit report. In XXXX, again, the account came back out of nowhere and again went to my credit report as a collection and again hammered my credit score!
