Consumer Complaint: I have my student loans with Navient. I was to submit a new application for IBR. I spoke to them on the telephone and explained that I was uncertain what to do in terms of asking for a forbearance or IBR. I was told my current application did not expire for a couple months and I had time. I submitted my IBR application and noticed today that my credit score went down 32 points due to Navient. When I called, they said I missed the application dead line by 4 days and was charged interest fees due to missing the deadline. I was NEVER told this was a possibility and I have been using them for years.
