Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, I took out a student loan to attend XXXX school at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXa at XXXX XXXX. I borrowed approximately {$22000.00}. I began paying back on the loan in XXXX. Since that time the loan has been bought and sold numerous times. I can not tell you what specific lending institutions had the loan during the past 19 years. Currently, my balance is over {$17000.00} after paying on it for nearly 20 years. I dont know how that could possibly be. I have tried on multiple occasions to contact lenders for loan and payments histories to no avail. No one has been able to provide this information. Specifically, I have not been able to find the original amount borrowed versus what I have paid to date. I have had no success tracking this down. The current loan holder is Navient. They have not been able to provide any relevant information either. I am reaching out to you to help me resolve this matter. I have had zero luck myself. I feel I am throwing money down the drain.
