  1. They can only be described as crooks. They innitially signed me up for their program, took my $2000.00 deposit and handed my account off to another company that actually worked with me to satify my outstanding debt. I completed the program over two years ago, and I cannot get Christian Dept Consolidators to return my $2000.00 deposit. At first, they told me that it would take approximately 90 days to get my money. Since then, they stopped answering their phone, disconnected the toll free number and the BBB reports that they are no longer in business. Please be warned, DON’T waste your money with this company. They did nothing for me but stole my deposit even thought their written contract states that my deposit would be return after I successfully completed the program.

  2. How did you feel about the customer service experience you received?   I felt it was horrible!  They were nice in the beginning when they got a $600.00 payment from us (which we were under the understanding that it was for our first monthly payment to forward to our creditors) but after we paid them, they sold us to another company called A New Horizons (whom I have no complaints against) At the time we signed up with CDC, they promised us a reward of our first payment back once we went thru the program and our debts entered thru them were paid off.  Getting that payment back from them was a nightmare.  It took 5 months and many of my emails/phone calls were unanswered or I was given “stories” of whom I needed to speak to and so and so is not in.  We did get our refund but it was minus $200.00 with the explanation from an outside accountant who was brought in to go over the books and to save this company from bankruptcy that CDC was not able to get new clients due to the new regulations and so is not financially stable.  Was the company easy to communicate with before or after you became a client? They were nice at first but when we were done and looking for our refund, it was horrible trying to get someone.  It was to the point where I was sure they saw my phone number on their caller ID and they didn’t answer the phone or dropped it into a random voicemail.    For 2-3 months I called, left messages and even sent emails just to inquire about my refund.    I am not trying to slander them but I just really feel something shady was going on because when I did get to speak to a receptionist or person who brings on new clients, I was told different things as to why my calls/emails were going unanswered and that no one ever was around whom I could actually speak to regarding my situation.  At one time I was told that the person I needed to speak with was only in 4 hours a week and that was because they were a non-for profit company and they didn’t have a lot of staff.   Did the company respond to your communications promptly?   No Way!  Please see above What were the fees charged for the services you received?  I believe initially it was $600 and then they got $10.00 I believe from us every month for 3 years out of our payment to A New Horizon.  (I don’t have the actual paperwork in front of me while I am typing).  We did get something like $420.00 back in May 2011.  (but that’s another story)Did the company give you the terms and conditions for the program you were interested in before you gave them any personal information?   To be honest, I don’t remember, my husband set it up initially.  I do recall though never being told when we signed up with them that that they would broker us out to another company.  Was the program successful for you and accomplish the goals you had when you entered the program?   We did end up paying our debts off.   However, it was A New Horizon who negotiated the interest rates and helped get rid of some of our late fees initially.    We were successful because of A New Horizon not because of CDC.  Did you have a really good experience you can share?  Not with this company.  Did you have a bad experience you want to share?   I think the overall experience of getting our promised refund back is the experience I remember the most.  I know it had nothing to do with actually paying off our debt.  I think it is the principal and how I felt I was treated by CDC that makes me want to make sure other’s are aware of how terrible this company treats people after they are a client and are only trying to receive what they were initially promised.  If they can’t pay the completion reward, don’t promise it!  I don’t understand how a company can tell people that they are small, they have employees that only work 4 hours a week because they are non-profit and then have another person call you telling you that they are an outside accountant that was brought in to keep the company out of bankruptcy so that they can give you less money than they promised you.  Also, how does it look that they are to be helping get other people out of debt and they are telling people they are close to bankruptcy themselves?  I think that was a story if you ask me.  Also, they need to be up front with the fact that they will sell you to another company.  They shouldn’t get a monthly payment from a person if they are not really providing the actual service.  Is there any other information you’d like people to know that might be considering the services of this company?   Don’t do it!  You don’t have to go thru them to get help.  If I would have known we could have gone right to A New Horizons, I would have done that.  Also, just because someone uses the word Christian in their name, doesn’t mean they won’t rip you off.
