Peggy, you have the wrong company profile here. Consumer legal services America does not provide mortgage services.
Hmmmm is this no name responder David or someone from CLS whom are trying to protect their company?
My significant other sent $1500 to the CLS group in Wilmington, California, 3 weeks ago. Now he has received a letter form Bank of America that his failure to make  mortage repayments is being turned over to a debt collector. He is not behind in his payments, just was looking to refinance his condo as it’s current worth is less than he owes (underwater.)
Is this the same group? If so, I guess he has been scammed. Is there a class action suit yet against this company? How do we proceed from Tucson Arizona to probe further into this situation and get the money back?Â
Peggy,
Can you tell me the name of the person you dealt with. I am involved with a similar company. Just want to make sure it’s the same thing before I move forward
How did you proceed from here with this?
That company is called “AutoAssure” I found it by finding a slew of of their employees on LinkedIn
I have found LinkedIn profiles of several employees at this company. Some may no longer work there, others may still be active. I am not linked to their full names, however, and cannot access unless I pay for membership. If anyone is a recruiter and has paid access to LinkedIn, you can get their full name information

They also have some fantastic (sarcasm) Auto Warranty Company! Â They scam people out of money from selling BS auto warranties as well.
Super company!! Â
Damon says: “Are you actually asking me why a consumer might want to know that a company they are potentially staking their families financial future on might be a company that is of highly questionable ethics?”
Damon get real, this was an article Steve posted about Robby Birnbaum not a “company that is of highly questionable ethics”…you have the uncanny ability to change entire articles around to suit your replies and comments.
Damon says: “Tell me, why is it that most of you can’t use your actual name when you take shots at me? What are you afraid of?”
We’re afraid of you Damon!! You are loose with your comments, antagonistic, easily rattled and unbalanced in your views and opinions. I wouldn’t want you knowing my actual name.
🙂 I am sure that is the reason 🙂
Nice try afraidofdamon….
Any attorney who defends these scam artists way of doing business is “A company that is of highly questionable ethics”. Â
Looks like you are the one with the uncanny way of changing this entire article to poke at Damon. Â
Hey “Helpful”, can you send some information on who you really are to verify that you are not an agent of this company? Your post sounds an aweful lot like an advertisement….

I was reading one of the comments about the company taking their fees first and I wanted to say something about that. I actually completed a program with this company and I was told from the beginning that for the first few months fees would be collected and then my payments would go into my savings account to pay off my credit cards. They sent me something on my e-mail that showed how much money I paid each month and how much went to fees and how much went to my savings. It took me three years but it was worth it, I am totally out of debt, a lot of debt. I was over 80,000.00 in credit card debt and when it was all done I paid a total of around 38,000.00. I just thought I would tell my story and I hope it helps. I know a lot of people get scammed just make sure you do your homework and that you are dealing with a good company and make sure you ask a lot of questions. Honest companies should not have a problem answering your questions or explaining how things work. Good Luck!

It was but will become illegal for all new consumers enrolled after October 27, 2010.
started paying this company last year about 398 a month, to fonly recieve recently judgements on accounts that are supposed to be taken care of. i was told by csr that the company had taken their fees first around 2900 and now getting into the other money to start making settlements… is this legal?

Not even filled out!!!!
That’s horrible.
Steve
not sure how they deal w/their clients or how much they charge, . . . i work for a bank. i see letters sent from them on behalf of our delinquent customers all the time. we consider the correspondence they send as junk mail. they are form letters that you can find by a simple Google search. more than 80% of those received aren’t even filled out; just a customer name and a bunch of blank spaces. i think it’s sad that companies such as these take advantage of consumers that so desperately need good, sound advice.
