Do Not Apply For There LOANS!!! I applied for a $400 loan and am paying back twenty times as much. It just so happens to be right before school and I have four kids, so I am unable to pay back the $520 all at once. Well if you dont pay it all back then they charge you $120 every payperiod (and thats just the fee) you have to pay the fee plus some to actually bring down the amount you owe which is not the the $400 I borrowed but $520. So they end up getting tons of money out of you if you cant pay it all back at once. So if you do take out a loan with them I seriously suggest you pay it all back or you’ll owe them for the rest of your life. And to me thats not worth it for a tiny loan 🙁
I just wish there was somewhere to help people who are over their heads but shouldn’t be. On paper we look like we should be just fine. The problem is, we fell behind and never caught back up. Every monthly bill we have is at least one month behind. Except our auto insurance. That lapsed and we started new somewhere else. It just feels like we are working ourselves to death for nothing. School is about to start and we don’t even have the funds to get our daughter the basics as far as clothes and supplies go.
I came across Money Mutual while trying to find someone to consolidate our debt. I did not sign up with them though the little chat box that popped up was making it seem like it would be a huge mistake to not partake of their limited to that chat box only offer. I am glad I did not apply. I still wish I could find somewhere to do a debt consolidation for someone with a very low credit score. I know if I could get everything into one payment, my life would not be so stressful and maybe I wouldn’t have to worry about my utilities being turned off. I have even tried peer-to-peer borrowing but did not qualify due to my 523 credit score. Thank God I did add stress to my life with Money Mutual!

I’m glad that all of your are telling the truth about what is going on and I hope others will listen to you. I would reccommend on reading financial self help books to help educated you and others on money manangement so we do not have to depend on others with our finances. Some of the books tha I can reccommend would be -any of Dave Ramnsey’s books. The Rich Dad Poor Dad series are great as well. I learned my lesson a long time ago and I’m glad because sometimes we have to fall hard to have our eyes open.
You all will make a great come back. There is nothing wrong with needing help we just got to be careful because you do have PREDITORS out there waiting for SUCKER every minute.

Today I call and wondered “why am I still making payment on such a small loan?” In was told the first FIVE PAYMENTS were just interest charges!???? Now i’m repaying off the loan??!! I am hurt and upset!! Then I asked why are you taking out two payments?
“well the first payment is your loan payment and the $50 is our service charge.” I am getting ripped off big time!! I am mad at myself for listening to a celebrity (Montel Williams) He out for the money too!!!!

you are not the only one with the threat of being taken to court. i had an active loan with MM, which i was paying on time, and i received a call stating i would be taken to court because i took out a loan, and funds were deposited, but never repaid. i explained to this guy that i was on time with my payments, and he stated the loan was from somewhere other than the place i had my loan through (united cash loans), i told him to send my something proving money was deposited into my account, and i would pay or work it out with my bank, bc i know it wasn’t me. that was about a month ago, and i still haven’t received the proof, lol. yea i learned my lesson with MM. i took out a $300 loand, and paid back right at $700.

Thanks for all the info, My husband wanted to do this, but I started reading the fine print and noticed that Money Mutual is NOT the lender itslef, then I read the privacy practices, they sell and rent your name to evryone, and they even text message you? This is horrendous, My husband wanted to trust them because of Montel, soemone should have him put in jail for false advertising the son of a bitch

i applied for a loan and within days all of this money was taken out of my checking account. i can now no longer use my debit card and i had to get a loan from the bank to bring my account current that i now have to pay off in 4 months another bill i didnt need. i cant believe montel williams would endorse such a scam. hes done in my eyes the pot smoker
I have not used Money Mutual but I will share some knowledge, being a customer to payback loans. They all have one thing in common, HIGH interest. What is deceiving about Money Mutual and money hungry Montel Williams spokesman, is that Money Mutual itself is not a lender. They are representations of other loan lenders. Which is why when you register with them you tend to get tons of emails from multiple Loan lenders. They basically pass your personal information that you have filled out on there site..(with you thinking your applying directly to money mutual) and pass it on to mannny other lenders. So that routing and checking account #..phone #, ss# that you filled out, has now been broadcasted to other lending companies.
This is why they almost assure you that you will get a loan because they pass your info to every lender damn near in the Country. Someones bound to bite.
If possible with the lender, see if you can inquire about the payback amount in full. for example.. if you borrowed $200.. your payback amount might be $290 which includes there interest in fees. But the sorry thing is that most people are unable to pay them back the amount by next pay period. Which is how they get most people caught up in paying a $200 loan for the next 5 months like I have!
Just know.. for anyone thinking about taking out moneymutual or any payback loan, that there interest is extremely high. Your better off asking either a friend or just sacrificing part of your check. Atleast you know you can make it up by next pay period.

Not for nothing but it sounds like you simply either didnt read or do your research because if your familiar with the common payloan.. you a required to pay every pay period. So that should not have been a surprised. And pay loans should ALWAYS be a last and desperate resort. If you borrow $300, you should know off the back that you will be paying more than double back. That’s how they make there money.. Off the interest. Valuable lesson learned.

They also sell your bank account information to other merchants on the web. I even had an unauthorized debit taken from my account in the form of a check and haven’t a clue as to who or what the web merchant is about. I’ve had to close my checking account that I’ve had for years and open a new account.
Money Mutual is very deceptive. They share your bank account information with many merchants that will take money out of your account without your authorization. I’ve had to close my account and open a new one. Would not recommend to anyone. I’m ashamed of Montel!

I suspect Money Mutual shared my confidential information with a number of lenders and at some point that information got our to the India scam artist. you are not the only one with the threat of being taken to court. i had an active loan with MM, which i was paying on time, and i received a call stating i would be taken to court because i took out a loan, and funds were deposited, but never repaid. i explained to this guy that i was on time with my payments, and he stated the loan was from somewhere other than the place i had my loan through (united cash loans), i told him to send my something proving money was deposited into my account, and i would pay or work it out with my bank, bc i know it wasn’t me. that was about a month ago, and i still haven’t received the proof, lol. yea i learned my lesson with MM. i took out a $300 loand, and paid back right at $700.
I too went to the money mutual site for a loan. I would not have if I had not seen the commercial with montel Williams . I did not even know that you could take a loan over the Internet. Anyway, I entered my information and was approved from a company in Delaware.
Cash cure. Which they are not licensed in my state to even offer small loans which makes it an illegal loan. I paid cash cure back the money they put in my account plus much more. I too started getting calls from men of foreign decent. Telling me I would be arrested etc etc.
I was concerned for my safety actually. I think that mutual money is selling information like you. I find it interesting that you were denied because they didn’t offer loans in Montana.

This is my Money Mutual story, I am so angry I could spit nails!!! I was worried about two big bills that were going to hit my bank on the same day, so I like everyone else applied online. I was approved for 400.00 dollars paying back 506.00. I was okay with this & esigned in all the right places. I was told the money would be in my account the next day. But come that day nothing. I did get a lot of spam email for offers for other lenders. There is a 800 # for M.M so I called & told I was denined…WHAT?!?!( where is my DENIAL letter???) Then I was told it was an error, wait till Monday. So I waited. Again NOTHING. And like before I had tons of emails from other lenders. So after waiting nearly a week I just thought forget about it & I unsubscribed to M.M. THEN the phone calls started that day…no more emails, but I got 3 phone calls from lenders in a 5 min period…boob bam boom. I shut the ringer off. BUT heres the biggest complaint of all…concider it the MOTHERLOAD!!! This was two weeks ago…over done with, I figure let the bank crash happen & I’ll just deal with it. This is my Money Mutual story, I am so angry I could spit nails!!! I was worried about two big bills that were going to hit my bank on the same day, so I like everyone else applied online. I was approved for 400.00 dollars paying back 506.00. I was okay with this & esigned in all the right places. I was told the money would be in my account the next day. But come that day nothing. I did get a lot of spam email for offers for other lenders. There is a 800 # for M.M so I called & told I was denined…WHAT?!?!( where is my DENIAL letter???) Then I was told it was an error, wait till Monday. So I waited. Again NOTHING. And like before I had tons of emails from other lenders. So after waiting nearly a week I just thought forget about it & I unsubscribed to M.M. THEN the phone calls started that day…no more emails, but I got 3 phone calls from lenders in a 5 min period…boob bam boom. I shut the ringer off. BUT heres the biggest complaint of all…concider it the MOTHERLOAD!!! This was two weeks ago…over done with, I figure let the bank crash happen & I’ll just deal with it. Don’t want a loan, keep your money & leave me alone. So yesterday I’m at work & the phone rings, I answer it & there it is…a lender is calling me at WORK!!! I said to the guy I’m no longer interested don’t call me again. Wasn’t rude about it, just stating a simple fact. They also sell your bank account information to other merchants on the web. I even had an unauthorized debit taken from my account in the form of a check and haven’t a clue as to who or what the web merchant is about. I’ve had to close my checking account that I’ve had for years and open a new account.
I’m glad that all of your are telling the truth about what is going on and I hope others will listen to you. I would reccommend on reading financial self help books to help educated you and others on money manangement so we do not have to depend on others with our finances. Some of the books tha I can reccommend would be -any of Dave Ramnsey’s books. The Rich Dad Poor Dad series are great as well. I learned my lesson a long time ago and I’m glad because sometimes we have to fall hard to have our eyes open.
You all will make a great come back. There is nothing wrong with needing help we just got to be careful because you do have PREDITORS out there waiting for SUCKER every minute.

Not only are they a scam but a nuisance. They loaned me $300 back in May. They get all of your personal banking and payday information, to which you probably eagerly provide knowing that you need the money and you want them to know that you are able to pay them back. But what do they do? They take money out of your account on each and every pay period that you gave them. In other words for me it was the 1st and 15th and every first and fifteenth they take out $90.00 for a $300.00 loan. So far I have paid them over $600.00 for a $300.00 loan. I thought that they would only take the $90.00 once a month. Nope. Every pay period. And if they don’t get it out of one, they tack on $30.00 additional dollars and then come next pay period take out both payments plus the $30.00 additional dollars. Needless to say, my direct deposit has been hit super hard the first of September and now I will be short with my rent because of this. I am going to pay them their $390.00 and they had better not ever contact me again!!

Not for nothing but it sounds like you simply either didnt read or do your research because if your familiar with the common payloan.. you a required to pay every pay period. So that should not have been a surprised. And pay loans should ALWAYS be a last and desperate resort. If you borrow $300, you should know off the back that you will be paying more than double back. That’s how they make there money.. Off the interest. Valuable lesson learned.
DO NOT APPLY FOR A LOAN FROM MONEY MUTUAL MY MOM WAS APPROVED FOR A LOAN IN JULY OF THIS YEAR AND IT WAS NEVER DEPOSIT IN HER ACCOUNT EVERY TIME SHE WILL CALLED THEY SAID IT WILL BE THERE IN 2 BUSINESS DAYS AND THEY WILL GIVE HER THE RUN AROUND SHE CHANGE HER ACCOUNT.THEY WERE MAKING EXUSES.
