  • If the laws of the United States don’t apply because they are on an Indian reservation, how then can they hold us to our end of the deal. If I get Sloan from them how can they then go after me should I decide to default?

  • With the comment dates being all over the place I am finding it difficult to figure out if this is an active thread or a dead topic. Still, this seems to be the most informative thread I have came across so I will post my question here regardless.

Please believe me when I say that I know these types of loans are only a short term gain with a long term loss. I am not a stupid person and realize these companies aren’t offering their services out of the kindness of their hearts. I categorize such services with that of a “buy here pay here” type industry. That being said, however, I am in serious need of financial assistance right now. I mean, to the point of facing possible jail time if I don’t pay on some of this stuff by FEB 5 2013. NO, I am not some major criminal who is facing fraudulent charges. My license was suspended when I was 19 years old (ten years ago) for failure to pay some tickets. I was young and stubborn and figured “What’s the worst that can happen?” I know you are probably thinking, “And this guy says he’s not a stupid person?” The problem rapidly got out of control once my license was suspended because I continued to drive and was pulled over multiple times and issued a driving while suspended ticket. The fees since then have accumulated into something I will never be able to pay under normal circumstances. A few weeks ago, I was pulled over on my way home from work and taken to jail because of a failure to appear on one of the driving while suspended tickets from a few years back. Now I have court on the 5th and I really want to have everything paid before I have to appear before the judge. This year will be the first year I will have a decent enough tax refund to hopefully take care of the entire debt (tickets, fees, court costs ect..) I won’t receive that tax money, however, until a few weeks after the court date. So now, finally, my question. Do you think it would be safe to use a Western Sky loan only short term until I get my taxes, at which point I could pay the whole thing off entirely? I feel I am running out of time and options and seriously starting to panic about this whole thing. Thank you in advance for any information you can offer regarding this matter.

    -Ben
