I understand your question and concerns here, and I know that the student Visa programme is under scrutiny, but I cannot tell you what to do as to advising the bank of your leaving the UK.
If you have no other choice but to leave the UK, and from what you have stated for now you don’t, advising the bank will not change anything; you still owe the debt/loan.
On the other side of things, are you looking to stay in the UK? And look for work? Much can happen between now and ‘late 2012’. You may find a way to stay and pay the loan back.
Are you able to make the payments on the loan for now, while you are here in the UK?
While I can fully understand concerns about the future, it is just that, the future and we do not know what will occur.
Let me know your thoughts, and we can explore this in more detail.
