Good luck getting a replacement card with them takes over a month
My family and I moved right after filed our
taxes were filed. The tax refund was deposited on 02/12/2013. We called only to
speak to a rude CSR, 2 rude so called supervisor(Miles and Gina)and an
extremely rude risk manager supervisor. Risk management advised us that because
the addresses were different they put a hold on our account.(SS# matched) and in
order to release the hold we had to fax over 3 set of ID documents for each…3
for our old and 3 for our new address. We fax them within 15 minutes. We call
and confirmed that it was received and was advised that the hold would be
released in 24 hours. We called back and was advise they are working on our
ticket and to stop calling. The hold would be released by 5pm MST. We were also
advised that risk management does not take calls. The same risk management we
talked to the day before. Needless to say we have been hung up on and we still
dont have access to our refund.
I cant believe that Bancorp is part of this
type of scam on hard working Americans. All I am asking is to not give us
anything but to make available to us what belongs to us. At this point I feel
like my money is being stolen. Which is exactly what has happened. Somebody else
has control over my money and using it however they please. I dont appreciate it
and I am going to look and look until Im satisfied. Please be advised that I
also plan on contacting Visa as well.
I have been using Wired Plastic since Late 2003. It is the best Prepaid Card going. It’s fees are very reasonable, and so far, it is the only card to allow for online bill pay directly from the cards website (after logging in of course).
I have tried a lot of them, and while some have no monthly fees, their other fees are close to banking fees. Wired Plastic’s Fees (as of 1/2013) are 5.95 monthly and only 95 Cents per PIN (POS) Transaction. ATM fees are about in line with the rest of the market. I have to say, this is a 5 star card. The only issue is, that it does not report to the credit bureaus, which is understandable. If you can only spend what you load onto the card, then how can you borrow against it and have it reported to the agencies.
Thanks for the feedback.
