I first started with “Debt Restructuring Of America”, who actually did settle one of my debts (Bank Of America) which made me feel that this company was working for me. Then they started doing business as “Financial Assistance Group”. That’s when the problem started, they changed their phone / fax numbers several times. When I finally did get in touch with my case manager (Grace Keen), she would say everything is going according to schedule, but the collectors kept calling, sending letters, I wanted to contact the creditors, but I was told not to, but I still have collectors calling, and it’s been four years.
Consumer Action Taken:
Made several phone calls, when I could get the correct number, the phone number has been changed several times, also sent several faxes, but that phone changed several times. I finally was able to get Grace Keen’s (case manager) Email address, but that too is no longer working. I live in California, unfortunately not in Kentucky where the company is based, I think if Financial Assistance Group had to deal with someone face to face things might be a little different. I want to file a civil suit, but don’t have the resources on how to do that.
