Product: Federal student loan servicing

Issue: Dealing with my lender or servicer

Consumer Consent Provided to Share Complaint: Consent provided

Consumer Complaint: Loan in good standing, paid off two months ago, then transferred to new servicer ( from XXXX to American Education Services ). On XX/XX/2017 I had {$19.00} taken out of my checking account without my consent to cover a supposed {$0.00} remaining balance ( even though the loan was paid off, and shows on my credit reports as paid off/closed ), but that {$19.00} would be returned to me within 30 days. Today, only three days later, another {$19.00} has been taken from my account without my consent ( or even providing the new servicer with my account information ) for my PAID-OFF LOAN, and their site has very little usable information. This ca n’t be legal. I ca n’t afford to keep having random payments I did n’t agree to taken out of my checking, again, for a loan paid in full months ago. Are there damages I can collect for this?
