Is Financial Solutions of New York or Bedrock Legal of Dallas Legit or a Scam?

Dear Steve,

Financial Solutions: legit or scam?

I was called by Jay Morgan from Financial Solutions LLC of New York, NY. I am just wondering if they are a reputable company, I don’t seem to be getting a whole lot of information from researching them. They are also affiliated with Bedrock Legal of Dallas, TX. Which, according to BBB, opened up last October.

Dear Caleb,

I always hate the legit or scam question because I have no idea what your individual definitions of those terms might be.

With some due diligence on your part you can check out those two companies or any other company you may want to work with. Here are my free guides to help you do that.

But in taking a quick look around, here is what I found.

Financial Solutions LLC

A search of New York registered businesses found some similarly named companies. I’m not entirely sure which of these are the New York company you believe contacted you. Please update me in the comments section with a telephone number or web address for the company.

Financial Solutions Group LLC
Financial Solutions NY, LLC
Financial Solutions, LLC

Bedrock Legal

Now this company is interesting. The company appears to be located at bedrocklegal.com. They list their address as 9330 LBJ Freeway, Ste. 900, Dallas, TX 75243. That happens to be a virtual office space. – Source, Source

Now there is nothing inherently wrong with using virtual office space but it does lead me to question why a “law firm” that claims to offer so much help does not have their own office.

The BBB gives the company an A- rating and says the owner of the company is Sarah Raggio. The Texas State Bar Association has no licensed attorney in the state under the name Sarah Raggio. – Source

The BBB also says the company is known as Raggio & Associates, and Bedrock Legal Group. The Bedrock Legal website says, “The firm of Bedrock Legal Group, PLLC operates under Raggio & Associates, PLLC.”

According to the State of Texas, Raggio & Associates is also located at 9330 LBJ Freeway, Ste. 900, Dallas, TX 75243 and the managing member is Sarah H. Raggio. As of December 31, 2016 the company took on the assumed name of Bedrock Legal Group. – Source

I can’t independently verify the company is truly a law firm and I certainly can’t check who the licensed attorney of the firm is in your state. You’ll have to call and ask them that.

Although the Bedrock legal website says “An attorney responsible for the content of this Site is Sarah Raggio licensed in Texas with offices at 9330 LBJ Fwy, Ste. 900, Dallas, TX, 75243” there is no attorney with a last name of Raggio who is listed with the Texas Bar Association in that zip code.

I did locate a Sarah H. Raggio who is reportedly the Assistant General Counsel for Locke Lord and “she works firmwide with clients on insurance related matters. She has vast experience in professional liability, employment related practices liability and cyber coverage.” – Source

I have no idea if that is just a coincidence or she is the same person behind Bedrock Legal Group.

I want to be very clear here. I’m not saying any of these items on their own would label any company a scam or not legit. But it certainly seems there is more research for you to do to figure out exactly who you are dealing with and what they are selling you.

Follow my guides and let me know more about Financial Solutions or the results of your search.

  1. Bedrock is a scam. I paid for 6 months & my creditors were still after me for info on them . Not debt solutions were reached& I couldn’t talk to anyone who personally was handling my acct,I paid them over $3700.00 & they gave me $600.00 back when I closed proceedings with them. All I can say is they are lucky I don’t live close to them. What goes around will come back to them. I hope someone is watching there backs.
