Consumer Complaint: A representative claiming to call on behalf of Wells Fargo called my private cell number stating they were calling on a debt from my former mortgage company which was closed since XX/XX/XXXX. They did not read mean any mini-XXXX and claimed they could keep on calling as long and as often as they wanted to. The call came in at XXXX PST from XXXX-an Arizona number. On the call, I explained that this debt was past the statute of limitations for collections. To which XXXX XXXX said they can still continue to call me regardless and make efforts to collect a XXXX debt even though it as past the SOL. The representative identified herself as XXXX XXXX and her supervisor as XXXX XXXX. When I told her to never call my private cell number again she said I was personally liable for the debt and they would still call. No effort was made by WF to tell me they were calling on a SOL expired debt, no notice of debt was sent to me, and no effort was made to inform me of my rights.
