Consumer Complaint: Upon seeing a collection account reported on my XXXX credit report, I contacted, by Certified Mail with Return Receipt, the collection agency called XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX ( XXXX ), on XX/XX/2017, regarding a collection account in the amount of {$1800.00}. I kindly requested them to validate the debt and give me more info on it. To date I have not received any response from them. I think the collection company is in default as they did not respond within 30 days time. In fact they never replied to my letter seeking validation and more details on my alleged debt. The collection information still remains on my XXXX credit profile and it is preventing me from moving forward, financially speaking. The collection agencies are very arrogant and defiant of consumer laws. They are under the false illusion that they are all powerful and invincible. I pray that you, the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau will reign on them and limit their power, arrogance and gross disrespect for the law.
