Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/17 Bank of America debt collectors phone number XXXX contacted my mothers home and provided information in regards to my debt to my mother. She is not a co-signer. The only information they asked for her to verify was my date of birth. No other verification were asked.

They continued to give private information to my family member. When I called the debt collectors to inform them that they did not verify the correct person and informed then that their verification process is not strong enough they hung up the phone on me ( supervisor XXXX XXXX ) not 100 % sure of last name. I called again spoke with Manager XXXX XXXX and he assured me that XXXX will never hang up the phone. Which she did. He indicated that they can not protect information if someone impersonates me. I informed him if the verification process was stronger their would be no room for impersonation. He was extremely sarcastic when I asked why didnt you verify address or social and he responsed with a snarkly comment your mother does not know your address?
