Consumer Complaint: I suppose I had a debt with XXXX that I was never aware of. I never received a letter, nor a phone call. I checked my credit, that I keep a close eye on after my dad stole my identity and opened 2 credit cards in my name to find that CBHP of XXXX Texas had bought my debt from XXXX. They have added on XXXX dollars of their own fees. I called as soon as I saw this on my report to figure out why I was never contacted or aware of this so I had a chance to resolve it, and they told me they had called my grandparents home phone number, and they have never received a single call, and they sent mail to my dads XXXX XXXX supposedly, but I havent heard a word about that either. So, when I was asking questions to figure out what was going on, how this happened, why it was so much more and things of that nature the representative of CBHP continued to hang up on me after every question I asked that she didnt like or feel like she should have to answer. When I asked for her supervisor she put me on hold and then told me she wasnt available, then once again, hung up. I called back, I asked her why she was hanging up and she said its because I was being difficult and I told her collections and customer service are one in the same, and she informed me well first of all, youre not a customer. And then hung up again. So I called back again, and asked to speak to someone else, she told me she wasnt letting me speak to anyone else and hung up on me, again. I called back and she finally let a man answer the phone. He told me that their supervisor wasnt there and told me to call back, couldnt tell me when I could actually talk to someone without being hung up on. How am I supposed to figure out my debt with a company who hangs up on me after I ask a question they dont like, and theyre not XXXX accredited so they think they can treat people like XXXX. I never signed a contact with them, and they are making it impossible for me to figure out what is going on and what I need to do. I was not given any notification, or any way of knowing. When my identity was stolen, and XXXXXXXX XXXX credit cards were opened they were able to track down my real phone number to contact me about my debt and did everything they could to help me resolve the issue. Why couldnt this company? Theyre a joke and what they do should be illegal. They did not do their due diligence and theyve done nothing but lie, be deceitful, and hang up on me when Ive tried to get information.
