Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I took a loan out for {$2500.00} from XXXX. I later found out that they amount of the loan was in violation of XXXX Law and contested the debt. I made no payments past XX/XX/XXXX.

I have received 3 calls from a woman stating her name is XXXX XXXX with Compass Recovery Group ( XXXX ) XXXX though I have been unable to obtain any information about this company. She is attempting to collect on a debt but has failed to identify herself as a debt collector 3 times. In addition, I was not living in XXXX when the loan was taken out but she states the new owner of the debt ; XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX Phone : ( XXXX ) XXXX Fax : ( XXXX ) XXXX Email : XXXX CRCP # XXXX CPRC # XXXX is attempting to sue in that state though when I check to see if a suit has been filed none has.

There are 2 issues then ; 1. The statute of limitations has passed ( I believe ) and 2. violation of the FDCPA ( 15 USC 1692d ( 6 ) ) failure to fully disclose and ( 15 USC 1692e ( 11 ) ) failure to divulge they are calling as a debt collector. Furthermore, XXXX XXXX stated Compass is the ” legal side ” rather than that they are a debt collector which is false and misleading, a violation of 15 U.S. Code 1692e ( A ), ( B ), ( 3 ), ( 10 ), ( 11 ) and ( 14 ).
