I can’t help it. More questions have been raised about Nonprofit Alliance of Consumer Advocates and their nonprofit status.
As I mentioned in this post, even though the company name says they are a nonprofit they are not.
Instead, the nonprofit group Serve All Help All says Nonprofit Alliance of Consumer Advocates operates as a “Legal Clinic division of Serve All Help All Inc.”
But here is where it gets very strange, for me. Serve All Help all says their primary purpose is “Human perfection is the ultimate goal. Our mission is to bring forth the divinity within each of us to shine. and provide the perfection that is the essential nature of everything. Human development is both independent and interdependent. Therefore, we strive to achieve perfection of humanity through individual development.” – Source
They also say it is “is educating and helping the low-mid to low income families in education, health, and lifestyles.” – Source
So how in the world did Serve All Help All, that states they earn less than $50,000 a year, file a lawsuit in federal court saying they are the company behind the Nonprofit Alliance of Consumer Advocates and identify themselves as a realtor to the court?
According to the IRS, Serve All Help all is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. According to the latest federal nonprofit tax return filed, in 2017 the company earned less than $50,000. – Source
Serve All Help All says in 2007 and 2008 they had gross receipts not greater than $25,000 and not greater than $50,000 in 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. In 2011, 2012, and 2013 they appear to have not filed returns.
Under their description of programs they offer, mortgage modification is not one of them. – Source
Is Serve All Help All Really Operating as Nonprofit Alliance of Consumer Advocates?
In the 2016 federal lawsuit filed against a whole list of entities, Serve All Help All says they are “SERVE ALL HELP ALL, INC. D/B/A NON-PROFIT ALLIANCE OF CONSUMER ADVOCATES (“NACA”) or (“Relator NACA”) is a California Non-Profit Corporation which operates offices in California. NACA provides free mortgage services and modification advice to consumers.
JOSE ARTURO ABAD-VEGA (“Relator VEGA”) is a consultant to various multicultural consumer activist groups concerning housing, refinance, modifications, and securitization of residential real properties nationwide. He is a resident of California. – Source
Yet the State of California has no license listing for either Serve All Help All or Nonprofit Alliance of Consumer Advocates.
In 2017 the court dismissed the lawsuit.
As recently as April 19, 2018, Nonprofit Alliance of Consumer Advocates said they were a division of Serve All Help All. – Source
According to Orange County California, Nonprofit Alliance of Consumer Advocates is registered as a fictitious business name for Serve All Help Inc of 1503 South Coast Drive, Suite 318, Costa Mesa, CA 92626.
Here is the bottom line for me. I don’t really understand what is going on here. If NACA is really the nonprofit Serve All Help All then why doesn’t the nonprofit report more than $50,000 in income from all their activities. And why does the Serve All Help All website say, “In association with the Non-Profit Alliance of Consumer Advocates,” when NACA is a fictitious business name of itself? – Source
And if NACA or Save All Help All is acting as a realtor, then why do they not have a license? A search of the California Real Estate License website could not locate a Jose Abad-Vega either.
I’m not saying you should not use this company. I’m just saying there are questions you may want to ask and get answered while you are considering using them.
