Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2018 I notified Equifax of inaccurate information reporting on my credit file. I included an FTC Identity theft report along with proof of identity and a letter explaining that I was a victim of identity theft and to please remove the inaccurate accounts. Equifax later updated and stated that the accounts were updated and verified. This is found to be false and inaccurate because how could the companies provide Equifax with information supporting these accounts and the fraud accounts couldn’t provide me with any contracts or any viable proof of such accounts belonging to me. Equifax has decided to not follow as directed by section 605B of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and notify all furnishers of this information. Equifax continues to report fraudulent accounts on my credit file.
