I Had a Baby, My Hours Were Cut, I Don’t Want to Tell My Partner About My Money Mess. – Rebecca

“Dear Steve,

I have had a baby and my hours at work have been cut I have a partner who works but is un aware of the mess I have got my self in this would cause a huge problem if this came to light.

Just need to find some help to get me out of the mess I am in with out involving my partner.

Dear Rebecca,

You should be honest about the reality of the situation. Trust me, it will come to light sooner or latter.

If your partner cares about you and you care about them, be honest with them. After all, you were intimate enough to have a baby together, certainly talking about the reality of your situation has to be a step down from that.

The best way to open up about this is to find a solution for your situation. I don’t know enough about it to give you one. Then sit your partner down and discuss the situation openly and present the solution you found. Things might get chilly for a few days but your partner will come around, they always do.

Nobody wins with debt secrets.

You are not alone. I'm here to help. There is no need to suffer in silence. We can get through this. Tomorrow can be better than today. Don't give up.
