In my story “Elimidebt Management Systems Wants to be Eliminated? Not Playing Nicely With WV AG“, I had mentioned that as reported, American Debt Counseling was the entity in a West Virginia enforcement action that had not paid up as they were supposed to.
News out of Wild and Wonderful West Virginia now tells me there was a significant error in the Charleston Gazette story about Elimidebt. The company that defaulted on its obligation to the West Virginia Attorney General office was actually United Debt Services LLC, not American Debt Counseling.
Apparently American Debt Counseling made all payments promised under the Assurance of Discontinuance and is in good standing with the office of the Attorney General in West Virginia.
It was the other company, United Debt Services LLC, that defaulted and filed for bankruptcy shortly after signing its Assurance with West Virginia. It appears that because United Debt Services did the marketing for American Debt Counseling, the company names inadvertently got reversed in the background for that previous story in the West Virginia paper.

You are not alone. I'm here to help. There is no need to suffer in silence. We can get through this. Tomorrow can be better than today. Don't give up.
