FAFSA Case#
I am writing to seek assistance in getting reimbursement and prevent this company from damaging my credit. This company is running a student loan forgiveness scam, the company in question has several business names, the two names that the company is associated with is National Student Servicing aka Student Loan Care. They are located at: 4 Hutton Centre Suite 220 Santa Ana, CA 92707.
This company was advertising on Facebook and Instagram regarding the student loan forgiveness program, so I began a correspondence with the company in hopes of being one of those individuals that would have their student loan forgiven. I was told over the phone by Misty Mojarro that I would have to pay initially a charge of $498.00 on July 6, 2016, and a monthly fee of $28.50 after that (please see attached proof of payment) during the covid pandemic I received letters from FAFSA stating that all federal loan payments were halted and no payments where needed, But during that time National Student Services kept demanding payments, and using scare tactics to intimidate me to pay. I found it alarming that only one person answered the phones, email and handled collection and it was Misty Mojarro. After researching this company on the web and reading multiple complaints on the Better Business Bureau I found out to my dismay that they are defrauding students out of money and violating laws.
I am a mother who makes less than $40,000 and has to support a family of 6, I was losing sleep and was stressed out from the harassing calls and condescending emails from this company. My solution was to call FAFSA for help and they connected me directly to my loan company MOHELA and I was able to directly set up my account without using this third party. MOHELA guided me to email you regarding this company National Student Servicing, and what I can do to protect myself since they have all my information and social security number etc. I keep getting emails from National Student Servicing and need your assistance to have them stop.
I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem.

SENT SEVERAL EMAILS AND TEXT MESSAGES NO ANSWER THAN I GET A RESPONSE THAT SAID I WOULD BE CHARGED WITH DOUBLE THE AMOUNT EVERY MONTH.
