Got sued multiple times since I enrolled! Their fees are way too high and the other fee which is to be for a paralegal was never used. Keep your money or go elsewhere!
I am a client of Total Debt Freedom and having read the comments, they do tell you that you are going to get calls that they cannot stop, I have gotten sued and before going to court my rep settled it with the law firm. She is a great person who cares about her clients and is always available to help in any way possible. I have always felt reassured after speaking with her. Unfortunately she may not be with them much longer……

I have first dealt with Total Debt Freedom just a couple months ago, they are misleading. The information that they provide is full of crap. They advised me that they will deal with all the creditors and I should get no phone calls. After 2 weeks in I was getting harassed by creditors and told me not that they did not receive any documentation from them. I recently left them and decided to use another compnay that has helped me very much, they have actually settled 2 out of my 6 debts that I have. What I suggest is do your homework first, anyone can post reviews and happy clients like how total debt freedom is, if you find it hard to believe than most likely it is. Rigth now i am about 1 year left in my program and i have received any phone calls or letters thanks to Global Debt Freedom, highly reccomended as they actually care about there customers
I am currently looking and researching for a debt settlement company, and I have seen other reviews but you give a strong review for Global Debt Freedom, are they good, are they better than Total Debt Freedom
Do you know where Global Debt Freedom is located or contact info and website. Thanks a bunch
Hmmm, I checked out Global Debt Freedom that H. Somwaru mentioned and globaldebtfreedom.com was registered in August 2011. They obvioulsy have been a business a very short time and the domain was registered by a person in California. Also I could not find a BBB report on the company.

I also checked out Global Debt Freedom, they actually are in Canada and not in the California like how you said. Not too sure where you got the info but this is what I got.

company is based out in Markham , Ontario in Canada
I have decided to use there services after leaving Cambridge Life Solutions with being with them for over a year they haven’t done anything for me, so I went with Global Debt Freedom and after 1 month 2 out of my 5 debts have been negotiated and paid. totally recommend them. globaldebtfreedom.com
A friend went with them also where they were able to refinance there property and reduce there debts when no one else will touch them into refinancing.
I don’t believe in BBB as you can see Total debt Freedom has a lot of complaints on here but on BBB they don’t, why would that be? Don’t always believe what you read, you just need to ask a lot of questions before joining
that was from looking at the “who is” information. Looks like the contact information was recently updated but it still shows the domain was registered: Creation date: 11 Aug 2011 23:47:00
I think I’ll pass dealing with a company that has been in operation for a year for a company that has been around a lot longer.
For me its a comfort, I have spoken to 2 others agencies and they wanted fees up front within 3-6 months, other company too many bad reviews, actually after speaking with Global Debt Freedom, its was low payments, and also there fees are low also too as most companies will charge you anywhere between 20% to 26% which they are a lot lower. They have been in business for over 1 year almost 2 years now and there are no complaints about them at all on the internet, which for me that is what I look for when hiring a company is there fees, interest, payments, complaints, not at how long they have been in business, any business can operate longer than another business is that how someone will determine if they do business with that organization or the quality and fees. I have been with them for almost 3 months and a happy customer
There is no such thing as “payments” in a debt settlement programs. The lower the payments the worse it is. The goal is to raise as much money as fast as you can, not draw out the settlements over a longer period of time with low payments. That will just increase the likelihood of a lawsuit.
In business less than two years is nowhere near a long enough track record since none of their clients are even in a position where they would likely complain yet. But I bet if and when they start getting sued (which will likely happen if this company is quoting low payment 3 and 4 year settlement programs) you will start to see those complaints, but just not yet.
I wish you luck
When i talk about payments its about there monthly fees and to get out of debt, as to my understanding Global Debt Freedom mostly deals with people that have sources where they can source the funds, or by refinancing property. They were very straight forward, advised of being sued and how it will effect the credit bureau and what to do after and during the program to start re building credit
I recently spoke with a debt consultant at Global Debt Freedom, and they advised me right away of what could happen with my creditors, and credit. When I first spoke to Total Debt Freedom they did not advise me of the terms and possible lawsuits. Global Debt Freedom advised me the best way to get out of debt. Apparently they help Canadian consumers you have the sources to get the funds or where they can refinance. Global Debt Freedom rarely deals with people that have to go into a program for more than 1 year as even though after 6 months creditors can sue. There is a lot of companies out there that charge more than 20% in fees, when they are actually the lowest, and will tell you how to reestablish my credit right away. Thank You Global Debt Freedom, I strongly recommend them as I consolidated my debt with them was debt free in 3 months and now my payments are lower than what I was currently paying and possibly would of had a judgement and lien on my property but they were able to speak to the lawyers and save my house. Thank You globaldebtfreedom.com will definitely recommend you to others
I also did a search for Global Debt Freedom and actually found a BBB report, I will try them out and see what they are about

lucky for you, I was given advise if they creditors tried to sue me, TDF told me they would go back to them and let them know I would be claiming bankruptcy..thanks TDF I can do that on my own and will be suing for all the money you’ve taken from me…looking up under Ontario Ministry of Consumer Services..know your rights before
I JOINED WITH TOTAL DEBT FREEDOM 2 YEARS AGO..THEY NEVER ADVISED ME THAT I WAS GOING TO BE SUED BY 2 CREDITORS.. APPARENTLY THEY ADVISED THE COLLECTION COMPANY TO SUEÂ ME AS THEY WILL HAVE TO WAIT. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. NOW I HAVE 2 JUDGMENTS AND A THIRD PENDING THANKS TO TDF. WILL STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL. KAREN SCOTT IS SUPPOSE TO BE THE RAVING FAN SHE IS MORE THE CROOK THAT WANTS TO TAKE MORE MONEY FROM YOU AND SYLVIA WHAT IGNORANCE SHE HAS!!! STAY AWAY FROM TDF IT WAS A NIGHTMARE FOR ME
Did you complain to BBB Canada? I still see no complaints registered them for TDF. They have an A+ rating with BBB. SO, why haven’t all those here that got “screwed” file a complaint with BBB? Answer me that…..
Not true as the FCA is followed by a paystub..paystub do not lie not certain where you got your information from…..
Most of the creditors are happy to do with you without the involvement of trustee or debt agencies because they give them a cut.Is it true
If I try to negotiate with my creditors for 35 cents on the dollar will they agree to it.Can you advise me on some pointers I should take care of before I pick up the phone
was told to ignore phone calls and letters from collection agencies. creditors will not settle unless you have enough money for a lump some payment. FALSE. found this out when collection agency cleaned out my bank account and could not pay morgage. tried to contact my rep. via e-mail – no response. tried again-no response. called TDF told my rep was away for the day. told tbhis person what had transpired and was told to contact the collection agency myself to see if I could resolve the issue. collection agency told me they had not been cantacted about my financial difficulties and I they had been they could have worked something out. contact all my creditors and was tlsd the same thing. I dealt with the proplem and was able to work out an arrangement that included some money down and a payment plan to pay the rest with my creditors. it has been a month and still have not heard from TDF. I would suggest that you try things yourself first before going to anybody.

No.That is illegal.
It is a complete scam. They arranged a second mortgage for us that would allow them to settle all our debts. They assured us it would be enough and when it wasn’t they offered to get us more to cover the remaining $6000 owing. It took me two phone calls to negiotiate the two remaining cards and both said they had not been in any settlement talks with TDF. They conviently forgot to mention several additional fees and did not save us a single penny in the end. There huge fees, the settlements and the outrageous cost of the mortgage they set up cost us the exact same in the end but with a crummy credit rating. Do not believe anything they tell you and if you do go with them get EVERYTHING in writing because they will change it later.

I am currently employed by a brokerage company here in the South West our company had purchased the now required $75,000.00 BMC-84 BOND which truck brokers are now required to carry by FMCSA. My superior has and obviously will have a long and hard road ahead with this company if inract it is TDF FINANCIAL INC. out of Tiftin,CA looking at this and many more complaints on several other web sites I am convinced this company TDF is a careless and sketchy company , I sat in my office for 6 hours listening to my supervisor go back and forth with these women who he couldn’t distinguish one from another as not a single one out of 3 employees I assume from TDF could answer his questions directly without turning it into a argument they were claiming he hadn’t paid his monthly and initial payment for services in which he clearly had prof from his bank statement and then charged him an additional fee for administrational fee’s in which was never discussed or written on his contract TDF claiming it was a verbal agreement for the fee’s and verbal agreement for the withdraw of extra fees’ without consent form him ,this was all brought about by a carrier who complained about his settlement not being received within 30 days of invoice however the complaint went into TDF as our bond holder and they immediately canceled his bond. anyone working in the brokerage business knows without the bond you cannot operate the bond is their to inform the broker and help resolve any issues that arise not cancel at the first site of trouble . to make it short and simple they took his money for the initial set up them took again and if not approached with a carrier complaint we feel they would have continued to take. TDF FINACIAL IS A UNPROFESIANL AND DISRESPECTFUL COMPANY AND HAS NO REGARD TO OTHERS AND THE EFFORT AND TRUST THEY PUT INTO THOSE WHO PUT THEIR TRUST INTO …I advise anyone considering to use TDF to think twice unless you are used to drama.
No it’s not illegal. depending on how much you owe to the collection agency, they should settle for a lower amount. Let’s say you owe $2000 and you don’t have the cash but grandma suddenly gives you $1000. You can tell them that you got a hold of $1000 and they will demand payment asap. Do it and demand a settlement letter. And there you go! Cleared.
I forgot to mention to be strong. They will try to intimidate you but if $1000 is all you have…either they accept it or they don’t.Â
I was told to ignore all calls too. Funny thi.g is when I advise my rep that these people are still
calling despite the letters I sent out she just says call them back and threaten to report them
for harassment to BCCPA. Well that is her job, that is part of the deal for their fee. So I am cancelling my contract and filing a complaint against TDF. I have been with them for almost two years and only one debt settled. I have been asking for more settlements and all I get is not yet.
Well they are fired. Let them sue me cause I want the judge to hear how incompetent they are.
I will do it myself which is what I should have done in The first place.
Debt collectors have a monthly quota that they’re pressured to fill each month so I believe that ‘debtors’ (as Collection Agents call them) have more fighting power/leverage to settle they’re own debt then they believe they do. Just saying….

Maybe “The Facts” could link to evidence of their so called facts?
I’ve had nothing but an excellent experience with Total Debt Freedom. In fact the other customers testimonials here are evidence of tons of happy clients: http://www.facebook.com/pages/TDF-Total-Debt-Freedom/105760849465978
It appears this poster is jealous and trying to make stuff up.
This company told lies about clients FCA’s Finaicial Capacity Assesments to banks and the client gets the bad end of the deal FACT. Here is another, your credit is not in “A” status like they tell you and if you don’t know that yet, well you will when you go to the bank for a mortgage FACT. But hold on we got more for you. Your credit card company will still take legal action against you as they do not care about this letter to leave the client alone and only deal with the debt settlelemt comapany FACT. I also found out they are always in litigation.
