HI Aaron – is 800 zero debt still prohibited from doing business in Colorado, after being sued by the Colorado Attorney General for ripping off consumers and violating Colorado law? You reached a settlement with the state, and had to refund $565,000 to Colorado consumers in 2019, and were prohibited from providing services unless your activities are monitored by the state. Sure glad you warned me about scammers.
My husband and I are presently using Greenpath, in part due to the credit union offering it. Yes it does take two to three months to set up and get in gear, and not all creditors are all that cooperative with the ‘proposals’ sent out. We have interest rates at anywhere from 0 to 24% for now; the average came out to about 7-8%, so it is below their usual rates of extortion. The tough part comes when they take their chunk out of pay days-it’s almost half of the total. You get to try to live off what’s left, and it’s been challenging to say the least. This is definitely not for the faint of heart…Losing the credit cards is something that we should have done to ourselves-so if anyone out there sees this-credit cards are like cigarettes and are best avoided from the beginning before you get hooked. We’re hoping to finish our stint with Greenpath and avoid bankruptcy, but it’s a real tough call.
