A tipster (send in your tips here) pointed out the website of Debt Point International and asked me to look at the claims they were making. Their site is for both U.S. residents and Canadians but the debt relief claims are dissimilar.
It is a bit perplexing and it seems the claims being made to Canadians are things the Federal Trade Commission no longer allows in the United States if they can’t be substantiated. Are they giving folks in Canada less than accurate advertising? Makes you winder, doesn’t it. Why the difference?
For United States residents they state: – Source
For people interested in their services in Canada they make these claims: – Source
DebtPoint International says they are a lead generator only and do not provide the debt relief services themselves.
Debt Point refers clients to appropriate 3rd party service providers and does not directly provide debt relief services.
So I’d have to agree with the tipster (send in your tips here), it is a bit unusual.
