Debt Validation of America – Consumer Complaint – 10-22-2012

Consumer Statement:

I signed a contract with My Choice Debt Management in 2009 and was informed that Debt Validation of America, Inc. will represent me. I have paid into this program for 3 years and no one help me at all. I have money in my Escrow Account and can not get it. They was willing to talk to me but when I request cancellation no one will speak with me anymore. I paid total of $16,000.00 in 3 years but not any of my creditors was paid. And they claim I still owe them a total of $320.48. So they are taking all the money for themselve not paying anyone nor giving me my money the Escrow account.

Consumer Action Taken:

I called The Firm in which DVA hired them to handle their client. The Firm stated they have nothing to do with the money I had in my Escrow Account. They sent me a form (Cancellation Request) from Debt Validation of America, Inc. I signed it on August 31,2012. I sent it back. I fax one to the Firm and one to DVA.

I have called DVA send e-mail and kept a log. Their phone mailbox is alway full. I call everyday and no one will call me back nor email me back. I have kept a log of all the time I have been trying to get in touch with DVA.

I recieved a letter that The Firm sent back to BBB after I file a complaint against them and DVA. The Firm got really upset and said that i threat them and so they threat that they might sue me.

They claim I still owe $320 but I have letters saying I owe nothing to DVA. They keep changing website name. I heard first it was Advance Debt Elimination, INC and next Wise Counsel Financial, My Choice Debt Management, Debt Validation of America, Inc. And the list goes on and on.

No one will answer my call nor asnswer my e-mail. They also know that I have to go to court for one of the creditor but they are not willing to give me the money out of my Escrow Account to pay them. They have kept all the money I have paid them I paid $530.48 for at least 30 months and they keep it all for attorney fees and other fees.

The contract that I sign was for only 36 month. That tells me that they have no what so ever going to pay any one. I just at least want my money I have in my escrow account. Because the Escrow account was the money I was saving to pay my creditor when we made so kind of agreement. But DVA keep it all. Now they are saying the company is out of business.
