Consult America – Consumer Complaint – March 25, 2013

Consumer Statement:

A consultant from consult america came to speak to my father about consolidating his bills. He signed paper to consolidate his but the gentleman that came told him he had 5 days to change his mind. My father changed his mind the next day and has been calling and not getting a return call. I called today 3-25-13 which is the 5th day but unable to contact anyone and the phone number that was given only takes messages. I left two messages today and also went online to find another contact number that number is out of service.

Consumer Action Taken:

I have been calling trying to get in touch with someone to cancel the service and also went online to research the company and the number on there website is disconnected. I’m doing this because I do not want my father to be charged for a service when he called in a timely manner and has not gotten a return call from anyone in the company. My father and mother has been calling for the past 3 days not including the weekend in which they also called on the weekend. We don’t know what to do and do not want to be charged for a service that is not needed.

  1. Great advice anonymous. If they gained any banking info from your father you guys should also call the bank, so you can give them a description of the possible draft so they can stop it.

  2. Send a certified letter with return receipt requested and make sure it is postmarked by today. You will need proof you tried to cancel.
