My family’s facing serious serious debt problems. The rent is unpaid too and we might be leaving the house anytime soon. And the banks are waiting for their payments too.
How do we sort it out?
I have a few questions to help me better understand your situation and offer solutions.
Are you living in the UK?
How did you find yourself in this position?
What debts do you have, types of accounts, balances, etc?
Have you been in contact with your landlord? Rent is a priority bill and should be paid before any other accounts. You may be able to work out a plan to pay extra towards the arrears.
Are you or anyone in the household working?
Are you eligible for any benefits or assistance?
Worst case scenario if you were to be evicted, you need to contact your local council to inquire about the possibility of them housing you.
Get back to me and we can look at your options.
