Company Name: Helping America Group
Describe the Service You Received:
I used HAG. I have been with them since Dec. 2014. They sent letters to some of my creditors. My debts are either still pending, charged off, or turned over to collection.
They had me sign paperwork for a loan in the amount of my debt. They were going to either get the debt dismissed or pay them off with the loan I was taking out. Here it is Oct. 2015 and I was paying them $235 a month but since they haven’t really done anything I requested they drop my payments down for hardship reasons. I have now decided to cancel them because all my debts can now be paid when and as I want.
I sent an email to their partner 321loans stating since no money has been disbursed I shouldn’t have any problem canceling the service. I never heard anything back but today I received notice that a payment was due and would be taken out of my checking.
I called HAG and they told me I couldn’t cancel and if I did I would owe them $21000.00 for the service and $11000.00 for the loan which was never paid out. I told them to send me all the documents pertaining to this and I would be talking to a lawyer. Today is Oct.20, 2015. For a debt relief company they sure put me in a whole lot of debt.
