Consumer Complaint: Halsted Financial Services, a debt collection agency based in XXXX, Illinois has repeatedly calling me regarding a debt I apparently owe. However they would not provide me information about the account since I would not provide them with my full Social Security number. They have called me twice on Saturday XXXX XXXX, XXXX using two different phone numbers, XXXX ( XXXX is the time of call XXXX and XXXX ( XXXX is the time of call ).
The debt collector I have spoken with is named XXXX. He has said my name and the last XXXX digits of my Social Security number but I did not provide him that information because I do not know who he was or that of his company. XXXX also refuse to provide me with the account after I told him that I was sending his company a cease and desist letter in the mail.
