Consumer Complaint: NFCU made false threats regarding loan repayment. RE : Improper Debt Collection Practices and Civil charges against NFCU, reported XX/XX/XXXX.

I just found out Today, XX/XX/XXXX, that a suit was brought against Navy Federal Credit Union regarding false threats against debt collection. I originated this signature loan in XX/XX/XXXX and fell behind when I lost employment and had, and still have, reduced income. I am now considered ” low income ” – my monthly income is about {$950.00} at this time.

NFCU froze all my electronic access to my online and other accounts.

I am still making a monthly payment. I am in process to renegotiate a settlement amount if possible.

I was never offered, never received a letter, that says I am ” eligible for redressable payment ” or was never offered a payment regarding this lawsuit. Am I eligible to receive the {$1000.00} payment? NFCU never offered me any type of payment, even though I have been ” harmed ” by their false threats between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX and they still to this day have frozen my account access.

Am I included in the affected members in this civil action?
