Consumer Complaint: Today, XXXX XXXX XXXX left me a voicemail stating ” I received an order in my office today to complete and process several pending matters. You are currently being investigated for. I will be verifying your current address and employer. ” I called them back to find out what it was for – They called from XXXX, but told me to call them at XXXX. When I called the woman who answered asked me to verify my SSN and date of birth. When I asked what company she worked for she said client resolution services. I asked what what this is in regards to. The woman responded an old debt from XX/XX/2015. She said that the last payment of {$100.00} was paid on XX/XX/2015. I said I thought that the XXXX made my account paid in full and I never used the card again because the interest was so high. I said that I disputed the debt until I received confirmation as to what I owe – if anything. She because aggressive and said that I defrauded the company out of many and said that if I didn’t agree to a {$37.00} biweekly payment schedule than she would report me to their client as refusing to pay! I said I’m not refusing to pay, but need to ensure if I really owe anything. She said that I should already have it and asked if I would pay {$37.00} biweekly. I said not until I received a letter of what I owe if anything. She put another woman on the phone and the above conversation happened again. But this time, they said that they are going to sue me! Over {$200.00} really?!? They hung up on me. I called again and asked to speak to a supervisor ; they said one is not available. I asked for the address to the corporate office ; they said they would not provide it to me and hung up. Called again, and they hung up on me. And most of all, they didn’t not tell me, ” we are a debt collector and any information will be obtained for that purpose.
