Consumer Complaint: While I was being pre-qualified to purchase a home in XX/XX/2018, I was denied due to derogatory mark on my credit report. I enrolled in XXXX XXXX to view this negative mark and saw that a collection item placed by Ability Recovery Services, original creditor XXXX University, was present as of XX/XX/2018. Ability Recovery Services failed to send me initial communication before placing this alleged derogatory status on my credit reports violating FCRA. On XX/XX/2018 I sent letters to both Ability Recovery Services and XXXX University requesting validation of debt, dispute put on credit reports while researching and deletion of tradeline if validation can not be provided. Neither Ability Recovery Services nor XXXX University provided me with validation of debt to date. They failed to respond within 30 days of receipt of these certified mails and thus the tradelines should have been deleted. I am requesting immediate removal of tradeline from all reporting credit bureaus.
