Consumer Complaint: Within the past few weeks, I opened a complaint with CFPB regarding this same credit card account that was in a collection with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX under complaint number ( s ) :XXXX,XXXX,XXXX & XXXX. Once I provided the police report # and FTC ID theft affidavit/complaint # XXXX XXXX XXXX they then sold this disputed account to a collection agency called, FirstSource. This is a clear violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practice Act. Even after illegally selling this disputed account to the new collection agency XXXX XXXX XXXX continues to report their name on all 3 of my credit reports. I am once again now alerting FirstSouce collections that this account is from identity theft. I am providing the police report and FTC report numbers. Furthermore, I was also notified by XXXX that my personal information was in fact compromised during the ‘XXXX Breach ‘. FTC ID theft report/affidavit # XXXX & XXXX PD report # XXXX by Officer XXXX, badge # XXXX.
