Product: Other debt

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed

Consumer Consent Provided to Share Complaint: Consent provided

Consumer Complaint: Every time I cancel my ” membership ” with Experian, they come up with false reports and claims. This time I canceled my membership on XXXX Within 3 days they ” claim ” I have a debt to a company called ” XXXX/XXXX ” that says the debt is from XX/XX/XXXX. I live out in the middle of nowhere and have NEVER had this cable company ( which is what it believe it is ) My only options out here are XXXX or XXXX. I have XXXX & have had them since XX/XX/XXXX when I moved here. PRIOR to that I had XXXX XXXX XXXX, BEFORE they merged with XXXX. My last monthly bill with them was paid XX/XX/XXXX for {$130.00}. When I try to ” dispute it ” of course Experian comes up and says that option is not available to me. WHY? Because I refuse to pay for their crooked false reporting?

This is the 2nd time I have canceled where Experian plays games with my credit report. The last time they dropped my score 50+ points when I paid off my mortgage in XXXX. They are the ONLY ones who play games with my credit score. NONE of the other agencies are reporting this ” FAKE ” collections debt!

I have worked very hard to keep my score up around the XXXX area and just because I pointed out NOBODY uses Experian so why should I continue to pay them does NOT give them the right to post FAKE COLLECTIONS or DEBT to my account!
