Question:
Dear Steve,
I am a plaintiff for the State of California against Mitchell J Stein
Why has Mitchell J Stein not yet been disbarred? He has been found guilty and sentenced yet, to my knowledge, and to this writing, his cases remain in a pending position and he has not been disbarred. Why?
Answer:
Well, there is a name that is a blast from the past. At one point Mitchell Stein was a hot topic, click here.
Stein eventually wound up in federal prison for issues unrelated to his mortgage mass joinder modification efforts.
I went and took a look. It appears Mitchell Stein is currently in a state of “suspension after conviction.”
Maybe the State Bar of California is waiting for Stein to get out of jail. It appears he is still incarcerated at RRM Miami with a release date of January 11, 2023.
Stein is a smart guy with a lot of time on his hands. But he has still been busy with appeals.
The last appeal was just recently ruled on.
