Doan Solutions – Consumer Complaint – March 9, 2022

Consumer Statement:

This company claims to consolidate and forgive your student loans. They made me pay an initial fee of $895, which I had to make in payments for them to consolidate my loans. They assured me that this money would go towards my loans (It did not). I then paid another $195 for a yearly reinstatement fee last month.

My loan servicer is now ED Financial Services which is a real service through the Department of Education. I spoke with them, and they informed me that Doan Solutions was a fraudulent company scamming people.

I was told to freeze my credit and to cut off my cards and change passwords to all my accounts. It is being treated as identity theft now that they have all of my information.

Consumer Action Taken:

I called the company as soon as I found out they were scammers and asked for a refund. They told me no and were very rude. I told them I would be reporting them and disputing the charges through my bank. The worker, Heather, told me I can do whatever I want and good luck.
