I have a question. I signed up with the Johnson Law Group since June of 09 they promise me they can settle my debt and help me get out of debt in 18 month however they say it takes 5-6 month for credit card company to accept the offer. I paid them 8 month now however im still getting collection notices. I tried calling them today and the number is disconnected therefore i stop the automatic debit. My question is can i get some of the money back and can they sue me for breach of contract since i originally sign on for 18 month. Can i get any of the 8 payment i’ve made back and also can the johnson law group sue me for breach of contract.

Dear Danny,

There are two companies named Johnson Law Group that are in the debt settlement business. Was it the one in Florida or Nevada? Let me know and I’ll look into it.

  1. This is an update. I filed complaints against The Johnson Law Group (Navada) with the State Bar of Navada, the Atty General and the BBB. I have recieved some response and it would help us all if others would file complaints so they can investigate. All of these agencies have the form online.
