That depends on what you want to do. In short, you don’t pay them for several months and then negotiate a less than full balance settlement. That of course will have some negative ramifications and there is no guarantee the creditor will settle.
Whether or not this is what you should do, I couldn’t tell you without knowing more about your financial situation and your goals. Perhaps you may just need to get the interest rate lowered back down so you can pay of this card in a more reasonable amount of time and in a more conventional way.
