Couple Gets Out of $88K in Debt in Three Years. Exception or Rule?

CNN broadcast the story below on how one couple managed to dig themselves out of debt in about three years.

It is a good news story for those people that can afford the minimum payment on their debt plus pile on extra funds. In this case the couple used a credit counseling service to help them achieve their goal by lowering interest rates and giving them one consolidated payment. If you’d like information on credit counseling solutions that might benefit you if you are in the same situation, click here.

The reality is that many people just don’t have these types of extra funds available to do this no matter how deep they dig.

Sincerly,
Steve

You are not alone. I'm here to help. There is no need to suffer in silence. We can get through this. Tomorrow can be better than today. Don't give up.

  1. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Carol!
I think you are very inspirational for people. The truth is that many people CAN do it with the discipline and laser focus.
I have been helping people for over a 20 years with their finances and would love to see more of the story of discipline, the unfortunate truth is that many Americans just simply don’t do it so they need help.
This is why I fight so hard to give people options. People need options and find the one that fits THEIR needs to help them achieve their goal.

    Again Congratulations!

  3. Many do have the money- It is an outstanding way to help yourself out of debt, if you can afford it. If you can afford just less than your minimums, debt settlement is an option. If you have been through a financial hardship & can no longer afford to make ends meet, bankruptcy may be a solution.
Check the time a consumer credit counseling company has been in business, avoid brand new ones & check how many complaints they have on the BBB. Any company can have a few… Be wary of double digits & avoid companies with complaints over 100. There are many choices.
