Consumer Statement:

I was looking into homes for rent, there was an offer of a rent to own your home. I clicked on the site and filled in information which said it would cost $1.00 to do a credit check for funding. It seemed odd to me so I went ahead and cancelled. Later when looking at my bank statement they charged me $30.00.Which they did not have permission to do. I did not see anything stating when I went into the website thinking it was a rent to own your home. there was to be a $30.00 charge for what I do not know. So I called the number on my bank statement – spoke with a lady you could barely understand, went back and forth about refunding my money. When I told her that I would report the withdraw to my bank as a scam she then said I would receive a refund. She gave me a confirmation #4A4D1. It has been several weeks and still no refund. I have tried contacting the same number and it now tells me it is no longer in service.

Consumer Action Taken:

Was on the phone with one of the CSR and explained the $30.00 withdraw from my bank account was not authorized. Funny they never really answered my question exactly what it was for I never did get a direct answer or explanation.

Argued with her for a long time – first she told me I was not in their file and could not find the account, took them 10 minutes to finally find my account. Then she told me I had signed up for the service but never told me what service it was or what it was for? I then told her I would report them to my bank as a scam and they were not authorized to take money from my account. Finally she gave me a confirmation number. I never have received the refund and now the phone number is no longer in service.

If you do get your money back, come back and leave a comment about it. I’d love to praise companies that step-up and do the right thing for people.
